Home router here - Linksys WRT54GS. I have tried FON but did not like how it sucked up the bandwidth. Meraki involves spending money - I just want to share what I've got since I'm right across the street from the park.

ethnicomm,

Wireless Toronto helps provision free wifi hotspots in public places. We use WifiDog software on Linksys routers for our hotspots, and it does a good job of maintaining the public and private parts of your internet access.

If you'd like to sponsor access for that park, that's great! If you'd like, submit your location through: http://wirelesstoronto.ca/suggest_location.php

Or, come out to our next volunteer meeting (April 14) to find out more!

(Unfortunately, if it's a home router you're talking about here, i'm afraid we're not able to be of help here...)

I'd like to provide a free Wi-Fi hotspot as I'm located right across the street from a park. My only concern is ensuring that business and 'open access' stays separate. Anyone know how to configure the router to do this?
